2024 NEA-DANBURY SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
High school seniors who are children of NEA-Danbury members are eligible to apply for the union’s student scholarship awards. Four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded.
Applicants must have a Google account as the application process is accomplished through Google Forms and Google Docs. The application link, complete with instructions, is here:

Essays should be written on Google Docs, saved as a PDF, and uploaded via the Google Form (instructions are in the form).
Official transcripts should be scanned and uploaded via the Google Form. Instructions are included if the school counselor would rather email the transcript.
The deadline is 5 p.m. March 28, 2024
Winners and parents will be notified via email. They will also be invited to a check-presentation ceremony at the local’s May representative council meeting. Details to follow.

2024 NEA-DANBURY ELECTION NOTICE FOR CEA RA DELEGATION
WHO: NEA-Danbury members
WHAT: Run as a 2024 delegate to our union’s state Representative Assembly and our national Representative Assembly. If necessary, we will hold a delegate election.
WHEN & WHERE:

CEA RA is May 17-18, 2024, at Mohegan Sun.

NEA RA is July 2-6, 2024, in Philadelphia.

WHY: If you are interested in labor issues, and would like to take positions on state and national policies, resolutions, and amendments, or if you are interested in becoming active at the local level, this is a fine opportunity to network with local, state and national colleagues. At both assemblies, you are participating in democracy in action.
HOW: Using your smartphone’s camera, access our Google Form and complete by Feb. 28, 2024.
